SŌK® is sold by Moulder Services, Inc. This page explains who can buy SŌK, how to use and store it safely, and what you are responsible for as a buyer. Please read it before you purchase. By placing an order on sokdef.com, you confirm that you have read and agree to this page and our Terms of Service.

Who can buy SŌK

You must be 18 or older to buy SŌK. By purchasing, you confirm that you are 18 or older.

We sell to individuals, and to agencies, departments, organizations and authorized dealers. Agencies and departments are responsible for their own use-of-force policies and training. Some departments need to update their policy before officers can carry SŌK. If you have questions about training or policy, contact us.

Intended use

SŌK is intended only for lawful self-defense and for deterring aggressive animals. Do not use SŌK to threaten, harass or harm anyone, or in any way that breaks the law. You are responsible for every use of a SŌK product you buy, including use by anyone you give it to.

Keep SŌK out of the reach of children. Do not give or sell SŌK to anyone under 18.

Check your state and local laws

Laws on carrying and using defense sprays vary by state, county and city. Some limit container size, who may carry, or where a spray may be carried, such as schools, government buildings and aircraft.

SŌK is a water-based formula. It does not contain oleoresin capsicum (OC) or capsaicin, the active ingredients in pepper spray. Even so, we do not claim that SŌK is exempt from any law. How a law applies can depend on its exact wording and on how it is enforced where you live.

Before you buy, carry or use SŌK, check the laws where you live, work and travel. If you are unsure, ask your local law enforcement agency or an attorney. You are responsible for making sure your purchase, possession and use of SŌK is legal.

Where we ship

We do not ship any SŌK product to New Jersey. Orders with a New Jersey shipping address cannot be completed at checkout.

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii, PO boxes, APO/FPO addresses and addresses outside the U.S. include the added cost of shipping to those addresses, shown at checkout before you pay. We may cancel and refund any order we believe would be shipped to, or used in, a place where it is not allowed. See our Shipping Policy.

Safe use

  • Read the label and directions before use. Know how your unit deploys: lift the safety, then press down.
  • Point the nozzle away from yourself before every use. Never test-spray toward a person or animal.
  • Use SŌK only when you reasonably believe you need to protect yourself or others. Once you are safe, leave the area and contact authorities if needed.

Storage and shelf life

  • SŌK has a shelf life of 5 years.
  • Keep from freezing.
  • SŌK is a pressurized container and may burst if heated. Do not puncture or burn it. Protect it from sunlight and do not leave it in a hot vehicle.
  • Store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place where children cannot reach it.

If you are exposed

SŌK can cause eye and skin irritation. If you are exposed:

  • Eyes: Flush with a gentle, steady stream of clean water for at least 15 minutes, lifting the upper and lower eyelids. Remove contact lenses if present and easy to do. See a doctor if irritation continues.
  • Skin: Flush with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and remove affected clothing. Wash clothing before wearing it again. Get medical attention if irritation occurs.
  • Breathing: Move to fresh air. Get medical attention if breathing is difficult.
  • Swallowed: Do not induce vomiting unless told to by medical personnel. Get medical attention.

SŌK products carry the implied warranties provided by law. If a product arrives damaged, defective or not what you ordered, see our Refund Policy.

No guarantee of results

No self-defense product works in every situation. Results depend on distance, wind, aim, the person or animal involved, and other conditions. SŌK is not a substitute for awareness, training, leaving a dangerous situation, or calling emergency services.

Your responsibility

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Moulder Services, Inc. is not responsible for injury, loss or legal consequences that result from misuse of SŌK, from use that breaks the law, or from failure to follow the label, this page or the Safety Data Sheet.
